The Falcons hit the road for a matchup against Del Norte High School, and it was a tough night for both JV and Varsity squads.
JV came in looking to build on last week’s win but ran into a Knighthawks team that had answers at every turn. Despite effort and flashes of potential, the Falcons couldn’t find their rhythm. At this stage, it’s about growth: learning how to adjust, sharpening execution, and putting in the work at practice to elevate to the next level.
Varsity’s game told a different, yet familiar story. Another one-goal loss. Another game that felt within reach. Del Norte walked away with a 12-11 win, but this wasn’t a case of being outplayed. Instead, it leaves a bigger question lingering….what’s missing?
There’s no shortage of talent on this roster. But talent alone doesn’t win close games. The edge, the urgency, the refusal to lose. That spark hasn’t fully shown itself yet. And in tight matchups, that’s often the difference.
No individual callouts tonight. This team wins together, and they lose together. Right now, it’s about coming together, digging deeper, and finding that collective fire.
The road doesn’t get any easier. With nationally ranked teams headed to San Diego in the coming weeks, the challenge is only rising.
The question is simple: will the Falcons rise with it?
