Senior Night Shines!

Monday night at Ed Burke Stadium was about more than just lacrosse. It was about legacy.

Ten Falcons seniors were honored alongside their families in a heartfelt Senior Night celebration filled with flowers, smiles, and a few well-earned tears. Each player has carved out her own journey at Torrey Pines, growing both on and off the field, and the evening served as a fitting tribute to a group that has given so much to the program.

The Varsity seniors and their college commitments are a testament to that dedication:

#7 Stella Wilken – University of Alabama
#25 Bridget Kenney – Auburn University
#23 Payton Kelley – University of Colorado, Boulder
#11 Caleigh Bijan – University of Georgia
#10 Catherine Tonelli – San Diego State University (D1 Lacrosse)
#8 Cameron Silver – San Diego State University (D1 Lacrosse)
#1 Katie Janis – University of Utah
#6 Grace Livingston – University of Utah
#4 Reese Rohrbach – University of Tennessee
#3 Katherine Zohn – Virginia Tech

Congratulations to all ten seniors! The future is bright, and this is only the beginning!

Of course, there was still lacrosse to be played.

Just two nights earlier, the Falcons hosted San Marcos High School. The JV squad delivered one of their most exciting performances of the season, edging out the Knights 9-8 in a thrilling finish. It was a statement win for a team that continues to grow and prove it can rise to the moment.

Varsity battled just as hard but came up short in a 6-9 loss in what was easily the most physical game of the season. From start to finish, it was intense, with both teams racking up four yellow cards by midway through the fourth quarter. The Falcons showed grit and determination, but couldn’t quite close the gap.

Then came Senior Night—and a response that said everything.

Following the celebration, Varsity took the field against the Rancho Bernardo Broncos and wasted no time setting the tone. A dominant 7-0 first quarter ignited the crowd and carried through the rest of the night. Crisp passing, sharp shooting, and pure joy fueled the Falcons to a commanding 16-6 victory!

You could feel it from the sidelines. This team wasn’t just playing—they were celebrating each other.

With two regular season games remaining against Mt. Carmel and La Costa Canyon, the Falcons have their sights set on the postseason. Playoff positioning is on the line, and this final stretch will define what comes next.

One thing is certain: this group isn’t finished yet!

Go Falcons!
