On a beautiful afternoon at Ed Burke Stadium, the Falcons’ girls varsity lacrosse team faced off against Bishops High School, but unfortunately came up short with a 8-13 loss. After a week of rainy weather, the sunny conditions provided the perfect backdrop for an intense game, but the Falcons were unable to secure the win.
Despite the strong effort from Torrey Pines, the Knights proved to be the stronger team on the field, maintaining a steady lead throughout the game. The loss was a tough one for the Falcons, but they showed resilience and determination throughout the match.
While the varsity team had their hands full, the JV team, who had a day off, was in attendance to cheer on their teammates. The JV squad will be back in action Tuesday with a game against Scripps Ranch High School, while the varsity team will also face Scripps Ranch Tuesday, looking to bounce back from today’s loss.
Though it wasn’t the result they hoped for, the Falcons will no doubt be regrouping and looking to turn things around in their upcoming games. Fans can look forward to more thrilling lacrosse action as the season continues.
