Falcons Hold Their Own in Thriller Against National Powerhouse

Falcons Hold Their Own in Thriller Against National Powerhouse

The Varsity Falcons hit the road this week, traveling to Tustin, CA for a heavyweight showdown with Foothill High School—currently ranked #22 in the nation. In a game that had fans on the edge of their seats, Torrey Pines gave the Knights all they could handle. Unfortunately, the scoreboard told a familiar story, with the Falcons falling just short in a 14-13 heartbreaker—their third straight one-goal loss.

Despite the tough streak, morale remains sky-high. The team is focused on finishing strong, with four regular season games left—two on the road and two at home, including the ever-popular Senior Night! The climb has been steep, but the Falcons are battle-tested and hungry for a breakthrough.

Meanwhile, JV also made the trip to Foothill and squared off against a talented and aggressive squad. The final was 13-5 in favor of the Knights, but the Falcons’ performance was about more than the score. While Foothill occasionally strayed from the bounds of good sportsmanship, Torrey Pines rose above, showcasing the class, discipline, and integrity that define their program. They played with heart, held their composure, and walked off the field with heads held high.

With three games to go, JV has their sights set on redemption—particularly in their rematch against LCC. That earlier loss is still fresh, and you can bet the Falcons will be ready to flip the script.
