The Torrey Pines High School girls lacrosse teams bounced back in dominant fashion last night, overwhelming Scripps Ranch High School in both varsity and junior varsity matchups. The varsity squad put on an offensive clinic with a decisive 16-4 victory, while the JV team controlled the game from start to finish with a commanding 15-7 win.
Varsity Comes Back Strong
After a tough loss to Bishop’s High School on Monday night, the varsity team came out with something to prove. From the opening whistle, the Falcons established their offensive rhythm, capitalizing on fast breaks and crisp ball movement to dismantle the Scripps Ranch defense. On the other end of the field, the Torrey Pines defense was a brick wall, making it nearly impossible for the opposition to find the back of the net. With relentless pressure and strategic play, the Falcons secured a statement win, reminding everyone why they are a force to be reckoned with this season.
JV Shines on Both Ends of the Field
The junior varsity squad showed up with the same energy, making their mark with a well-balanced attack and a rock-solid defense. Leading the offensive charge were Jordan Jackson (So.), Ci Ci Rimer (Fr.), Lauren Brockman (Fr.), and Payton Kelly (Jr.), each netting three goals to fuel the 15-7 victory. The Falcons were in sync from start to finish, moving the ball with precision and finding scoring opportunities at will.
In the net, goalie Morgan Pierce was a standout performer, making 8 crucial saves on 15 shots. Her strong presence between the pipes ensured that Scripps Ranch struggled to gain any real momentum.
